2015 OBCA HALL OF FAME / All-Star Games 

Five new members make up the 2015 Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame to be introduced Friday night in Ada. The induction ceremony and dinner will begin at 7 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church Fellowship Center, 115 N. Turner Ave.

 Honored in the 14th Hall of Fame class will be Mike Bolton, Jim Miller, Craig Patterson, Luther Pegues and Russ Rundle.

 Tickets are $15 and may be purchased through Ja Havens, East Central University, 417-576-7190.

 Bolton, who lives in Rosharon, Texas, compiled a record of 278-140 in 14 years as head coach at Tulsa’s McLain High School, where he won a state championship in 1990. McLain also finished runner-up twice under Bolton.

 Miller, a former president of the OBCA, spent 15 years in coaching, eight as a head coach, at Midwest City High School before entering administration. His career in education spanned 42 years.

 Patterson coached at six high schools during his 32-year career: Choctaw (1983-86), Chandler (1986-96), Lewisville, Texas (1996-98), Tuttle (1998-99), Stroud (1999-2001) and Kingfisher (2001-15).

 Pegues coached boys and girls at Tulsa’s McLain High School during a 30-year career. In 13 seasons (1993-2005) as boys coach, he qualified for 10 state tournaments. Prior to that, Pegues led the McLain girls to six state tournament appearances. Overall, he had four teams finish as state runners-up.

 Rundle spent 29 years in coaching, making stops at Goodwell (1985-88), Cheyenne (1988-90), Laverne (1990-2008) and Merritt (2008-14). He won a state championship at Laverne in 1997 and had a pair of state runner-up finishes.

 On Saturday, the OBCA will host its All-Star Weekend basketball games in the Kerr Center on the campus of East Central University in Ada. Games featuring graduated senior players are scheduled at 1 p.m. (Class A vs. Class B), 2:15 p.m. (2A vs. 3A) and 3:30 p.m. (4A, 5A, 6A).
