OBCA

Hope this note finds you healthy and well and having GREAT early season workouts! It is such an awesome time of the year! Everyone is optimistic about the possibility of having a good season because… we haven’t scrimmaged yet and found out how bad we are!! Please make your plans to attend The Fall Clinic at Oklahoma Baptist on October 21^st. We will start the day with a presentation from Gary Hendrix of Fort Gibson. Coach Hendrix has one of the most successful and consistent programs in 4A. He will be followed by the OBCA Coach of the Year Terry Long and his talented group from Douglass. With several Division 1 prospects they should have a very impressive workout. After lunch the head man at Bartlesville Tim Bart will speak. Coach Bart is widely respected around the state and does a great job maximizing his talent. Our afternoon demonstrator will be Kris Hall and his Caddo Bruins. The Bruins are one of the favorites to win a championship in class A. Last but certainly not least will be the NAIA national champion Bison led by Coach Doug Tolin going through a practice. It should be a great day of basketball and fellowship! In closing let me say what a great honor it has been for me to have served as President of the OBCA this past year. Thanks to all who made it possible and helped me out along the way. It has been a wonderful experience. See you in Shawnee.
